Thanksgiving is not all about the turkey. Or the stuffing, the sweet potatoes or the pumpkin pie.
Thanksgiving is about giving thanks, being grateful for what you have, and spreading the love to your friends, family, co-workers, peers, and strangers too. It is about remembering how you got here, how you came to be where you are now, and being in the present. The feasting merely brings together those people who have made an impact on you. Even more so, it is about laughing, having a good time, and taking a break from the rituals of everyday life. Thanksgiving is about being in the moment. Start the day by writing a gratitude list of what makes you happy and what you are thankful for, then share bits and pieces of it with your loved ones.
Then eat the pie.
